Keep bottles from leaking when you ship.
When shipping liquids and beverages it is important to make sure the bottles don't leak during shipping, especially homemade beverages and sauces intended as gifts. Most manufactured products are commercially sealed to prevent leakage. However, if you don't have the equipment to professionally seal bottles, there are other ways to make sure your bottles don't leak by the time they get to the recipient. Although heavier, glass bottles are an excellent choice for shipping liquids. They cannot be punctured, but they can be broken if not packaged correctly. Plastic bottles can also be used, as long as there are no other objects that can puncture the bottles.
